What We Do
Our Services
Three areas where we do our best work. Each one starts with solid substrate prep and ends with grout lines you will actually notice.
Bathroom & Shower Tile
Waterproofed substrates, precision cuts around niches, and pattern layouts planned before the first tile touches mortar.

Kitchen Backsplash & Floor Tile
From classic subway to large-format porcelain floors, we set layouts that center correctly on the room, not just the wall.

Natural Stone & Marble Installation
Stone requires a different adhesive, different blade, and a different eye for veining. We work with the material, not against it.

Hands-On Crew, West-Side Focus
Belmar Tile Installation is a small, hands-on crew based in Lakewood. We work across the western suburbs of Denver because that is where we know the housing stock, the permit offices, and the suppliers. Every job gets the same attention whether it is a single bathroom floor or a whole-house porcelain install.
Tile work is unforgiving. A substrate that is not flat within 1/8 inch over 10 feet will crack grout lines inside a year. We check that before we mix a single batch of thinset. That kind of prep is not exciting to talk about, but it is what separates a floor that lasts from one that does not.

Lakewood
Our home base. We know the Belmar neighborhood's newer builds and the Green Mountain ranch homes equally well. Most local suppliers are a short drive from the job site.
View Lakewood projectsEdgewater
Edgewater's bungalows and post-war homes often have original wood subfloors that require cement board underlayment before any tile installation. We handle that transition carefully.
View Edgewater projectsWheat Ridge
Many Wheat Ridge homes sit on concrete slabs that have settled unevenly over decades. We use self-leveling compound to bring floors within tolerance before setting any tile.
View Wheat Ridge projectsGolden
Golden's proximity to the foothills means more temperature swings than the metro. We factor in movement joints and use appropriate grout and stone sealers for that environment.

What Local Homeowners Say
Common Questions
Before You Call
Do I need to supply the tile, or can you help me source it?
Either works. Many clients come to us with tile already purchased. Others prefer we give them a short list of suppliers in the Lakewood and Denver area where we have seen consistent quality. We do not mark up materials, so buying direct keeps your cost straightforward.
How long does a typical bathroom tile job take?
A standard shower surround and floor in a 50-square-foot bathroom usually runs two to four days. That includes waterproofing cure time, which cannot be rushed. A full master bathroom gut and retile with a custom shower will take longer. We give you a day-count estimate in the written scope.
What does substrate prep actually mean, and why does it matter?
The substrate is whatever the tile sits on, whether that is a concrete slab, cement board, or a mortar bed. If the substrate flexes, is not flat, or has moisture issues, the tile and grout will crack regardless of how well it is installed. We check for flatness, firmness, and any signs of moisture before we set a single tile. In wet areas, we also apply a sheet or liquid waterproofing membrane over the substrate before the tile goes down.
Can you work around my schedule? I work during the day.
We are open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. Many clients give us a key or a code and we work while they are at work. We always confirm access arrangements before the job starts and send a message when we arrive and when we wrap for the day.
What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic tile?
Both are kiln-fired clay products, but porcelain is fired at a higher temperature and pressed more densely. That makes it harder, less porous, and better suited to high-traffic floors or outdoor use. Ceramic is slightly easier to cut and often less expensive, which makes it a solid choice for wall tile and lower-traffic bathrooms. We will tell you honestly which one fits your situation.
Do you handle the removal of existing tile?
Yes. Demolition is part of most of our jobs. We use a combination of chisels, floor scrapers, and rotary tools depending on what is there. Debris is bagged and removed from the site. If the existing tile is over a wood subfloor that has been damaged by moisture, we will flag that in the estimate so there are no surprises.
